Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aparthiva Sahu started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aparthiva Sahu in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhira Sirjoshi saved Deddington FC from getting behind. In the 14th minute Sarwan Ram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gurucarana Lepcha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shepton Mallet City's Rajeswar Rao got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, one of Deddington FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deddington FC. If Aparthiva Sahu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Deddington FC booed when Shepton Mallet City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rajpal Theunuo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iravata Toor got free with Gurucarana Lepcha in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sarwan Ram struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Gurucarana Lepcha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deddington FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rajeswar Rao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepton Mallet City's supporters rose to their feet, but Rajeswar Rao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhira Sirjoshi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aparthiva Sahu in the 41st minute of play forced Deddington FC's goalkeeper Adhira Sirjoshi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rajeswar Rao came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Shepton Mallet City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rajeswar Rao couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aparthiva Sahu in the 44th minute of play forced Deddington FC's goalkeeper Adhira Sirjoshi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iravata Toor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Gurucarana Lepcha made a huge save. After the first half Shepton Mallet City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sarwan Ram to make the kick off. Sarwan Ram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Gurucarana Lepcha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rajpal Theunuo fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shepton Mallet City's protests and gave Rajpal Theunuo a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Shepton Mallet City got a freekick which was hit by Rajpal Theunuo. After 67 played minutes Shepton Mallet City got a freekick which was hit by Karmanya Acharya. After a rather tough play, Deddington FC's Sarwan Ram got a free kick in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Deddington FC's Iravata Toor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gurucarana Lepcha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gurucarana Lepcha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sarwan Ram, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Rajeswar Rao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Adhira Sirjoshi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Shepton Mallet City got a freekick which was hit by Krishnamurthy Brar. Rajeswar Rao succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 96th playminute.
