The Farnsfield FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bhart Iyengar should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Basingstoke FC's Daljit Mukherjee got control of the ball when Karnavira Dambria tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Kamalodaya Dhillon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bhart Iyengar. Farnsfield FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kamalodaya Dhillon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Atasa Brar kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Bhart Iyengar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dharman Dambria in the 34th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Kamalodaya Dhillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bhart Iyengar came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Basingstoke FC's Dharman Dambria. But to his dismay, Dharman Dambria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kamalodaya Dhillon made the kick off in the second half. Dharman Dambria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bhart Iyengar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kamalodaya Dhillon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee ignored Farnsfield FC's protests and gave Karnavira Dambria a yellow card for diving instead. Karnavira Dambria hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Basingstoke FC's Abhijana Ganguly shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bhart Iyengar but with some difficulty. In the 81st minute of the match, Kamalodaya Dhillon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bhart Iyengar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 87 minutes, Karnavira Dambria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farnsfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karnavira Dambria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gopi Chaddha fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basingstoke FC's protests and gave Gopi Chaddha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Basingstoke FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gopi Chaddha to maneuver through the defense. Ishao Vishwakarma scored 1-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daljit Mukherjee, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Basingstoke FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
