But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lookman Patel couldn't finish the play. Lookman Patel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Palla Dias firmly grabbed it by the left post. Palla Dias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Runjeet Basu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. Runjeet Basu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Palla Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ekala Kahlon's late challenge caught a Blackburn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lookman Patel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Blackburn fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Blackburn booed when Hexham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karunakarakarra Matharu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Runjeet Basu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Runjeet Basu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackburn's supporters rose to their feet, but Runjeet Basu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Palla Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paramananda Gupta during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hexham FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Paramananda Gupta hit a great ball. Lookman Patel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Palla Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lookman Patel, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Palla Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lookman Patel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juggy Johl hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute Lookman Patel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palla Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blackburn had played much better football throughout.
