Anup Linyu got in the 8th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Janarajan Bansal handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 15th minute Anup Linyu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janarajan Bansal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anup Linyu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janarajan Bansal having to interfere. When Akalroop Madhusudan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the New Romney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akalroop Madhusudan couldn't finish the play. Jeman Nijjar's late challenge caught a Daventry City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeman Nijjar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Jeman Nijjar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Daventry City's Agnivesa Singh broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Janarajan Bansal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deb Roy in the 37th minute. Janarajan Bansal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anup Linyu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Deb Roy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Janarajan Bansal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anup Linyu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anup Linyu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janarajan Bansal saved New Romney from getting behind.

51 minutes into the match, New Romney's goal looked a bit too open when Anup Linyu came free, but Janarajan Bansal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anup Linyu in the 53rd minute of play forced New Romney's goalkeeper Janarajan Bansal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anup Linyu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Akalroop Madhusudan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Agnivesa Singh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Janarajan Bansal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Anup Linyu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Anup Linyu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daventry City's supporters rose to their feet, but Anup Linyu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janarajan Bansal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deb Roy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Janarajan Bansal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Janarajan Bansal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anup Linyu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the match, Daventry City's Anup Linyu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janarajan Bansal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
