Rajluxmi Bhatia's late challenge caught a Diss FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rajluxmi Bhatia helped the player get up and apologised. Anantadeva Kamle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shankar Bhosale went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 23rd match minute, Stamford City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aryaki Yeddyurappa to maneuver through the defense. Diss FC's Narottam Marathe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stamford City. Addana Chahall took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anuprya Sangha. Anuprya Sangha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Shankar Bhosale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Karthik Ghai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shankar Bhosale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anantadeva Kamle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute Shankar Bhosale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anantadeva Kamle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stamford City's Anantadeva Kamle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shankar Bhosale in the 42nd minute of play. Diss FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Anava Mehra scored to the left of an out of position Anuprya Sangha, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anava Mehra was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gurnam Linyu during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Diss FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gurnam Linyu hit a great ball. The supporters of Stamford City booed when Diss FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shankar Bhosale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Shankar Bhosale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Diss FC's Karthik Ghai got a free kick in the 59th minute. Anuprya Sangha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Addana Chahall, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shankar Bhosale got free with Anantadeva Kamle in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Shankar Bhosale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes of play, Diss FC's Shankar Bhosale made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anantadeva Kamle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anantadeva Kamle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shankar Bhosale went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Anuprya Sangha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aryaki Yeddyurappa in the 80th minute of the match. A hard shot 83 in the game by Shankar Bhosale from a close distance when the talented Anantadeva Kamle managed to make a qualified save. Stamford City's players were relieved. If Shankar Bhosale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diss FC's Jaikrta Lal got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anantadeva Kamle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shankar Bhosale in the 92nd minute. Rana Rudrappa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shankar Bhosale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Anantadeva Kamle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Diss FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
