Spectators: 6858 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 100) After a rather tough play, New Milton's Jvalaprasada Bhutia got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 12th play minutes Amitava Vadhwa shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Gurusimran Nigam and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of New Milton booed when Smart Indian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Govindagowda Padda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gurusimran Nigam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amitava Vadhwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Anudvega Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gurusimran Nigam having to interfere. Janendra Patiala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harsoda Shergill in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Smart Indian's zone, Amitava Vadhwa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gurusimran Nigam came out of the goal and Amitava Vadhwa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amitava Vadhwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haravira Samran kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Harsoda Shergill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anasuri Siddhu fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smart Indian's protests and gave Anasuri Siddhu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of New Milton booed when Smart Indian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anasuri Siddhu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half New Milton were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harsoda Shergill made a kick off. Amitava Vadhwa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Gurusimran Nigam skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Gurusimran Nigam successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute Avilasa Judge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janendra Patiala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, New Milton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acanda Mirza to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Harsoda Shergill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harsoda Shergill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amitava Vadhwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gurusimran Nigam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Anudvega Das kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gurusimran Nigam. That made the score 0-3 in the 90 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Acanda Mirza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harsoda Shergill took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Janendra Patiala. Janendra Patiala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. New Milton played a much better game than Smart Indian and deserved their victory. The Smart Indian players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
