Milton's Artiman Tipnis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gatha Sudan in the 14th minute of play. Artiman Tipnis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anangada Malhan in the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Astika Lianzuala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deochand Deshpande. RiverPlate AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Astika Lianzuala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Astika Lianzuala kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Deochand Deshpande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhvara Agroia in the 21st minute of play. Gatha Sudan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Artiman Tipnis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 27 minutes on the clock, Amarasinha Kohli commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The goalkeeper, Artiman Tipnis, was totally fooled by RiverPlate AFC's Janardhanan Hira, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 38 played minutes Milton got a freekick which was hit by Asesa Barua. Adhvara Agroia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Deochand Deshpande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Anangada Malhan made the kick off in the second half. Astika Lianzuala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, RiverPlate AFC's Janardhanan Hira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artiman Tipnis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Adhvara Agroia hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Anangada Malhan came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the RiverPlate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anangada Malhan couldn't finish the play. When Astika Lianzuala came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Milton fans jumped to their feet. In the 70th minute, Ajapa Balli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janardhanan Hira in the 72nd minute of play forced Milton's goalkeeper Artiman Tipnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artiman Tipnis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anangada Malhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Astika Lianzuala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artiman Tipnis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anangada Malhan in the 79th minute of the match. If Anangada Malhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Anangada Malhan put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Artiman Tipnis. When Asesa Barua fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milton's protests and gave Asesa Barua a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Milton! Janardhanan Hira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Artiman Tipnis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anangada Malhan's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. RiverPlate AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Milton for a fine match.
