Spectators: 6766 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Janardhana Pannu started the match with the kick off. Charat Marak came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jayanth Sehgal could save by the left post. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Charat Marak sped through South Woodford's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jayanth Sehgal. Jayanth Sehgal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ajeet Chawla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Croyde FC's goalkeeper Biswanath Bhosale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 played minutes Croyde FC got a freekick which was hit by Irith Maroke. When Irith Maroke fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croyde FC's protests and gave Irith Maroke a yellow card for diving instead. Irith Maroke kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Charat Marak might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jayanth Sehgal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charat Marak ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in South Woodford's zone, Ajeet Chawla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jayanth Sehgal came out of the goal and Ajeet Chawla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th match minute, South Woodford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaivalya Jain to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Croyde FC got a freekick which was hit by Sukhjit Takhar. If Janardhana Pannu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Charat Marak made a precise shot to the right of Jayanth Sehgal. South Woodford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, South Woodford's goal looked a bit too open when Ajeet Chawla came free, but Jayanth Sehgal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Harshita Chettri fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Woodford's protests and gave Harshita Chettri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Harshita Chettri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ajeet Chawla in the 60th minute of play forced South Woodford's goalkeeper Jayanth Sehgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Acchoda Gandhi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jayanth Sehgal skillfully saved the ball. If Ajeet Chawla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jayanth Sehgal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ajeet Chawla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jayanth Sehgal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charat Marak in the 78th minute of the match. Biswanath Bhosale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janardhana Pannu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Ajeet Chawla came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Croyde FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ajeet Chawla couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Croyde FC booed when South Woodford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nardev Ayer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croyde FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of South Woodford for a fine match.
