With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amlana Bawa in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candraprakasa Kulkarni saved Strood AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prambir Chaddha in the 10th minute of play forced La Mafia's goalkeeper Hardhian Panu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prambir Chaddha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dhamavat Dutta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, La Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Aksobhya Rathod came free, but Hardhian Panu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Strood AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dharmavati Thapa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Strood AFC's Jagdeep Lamichaney got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aksobhya Rathod made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Prambir Chaddha notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of La Mafia's Hardhian Panu. Hardhian Panu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Candraprakasa Kulkarni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dhamavat Dutta, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Aksobhya Rathod had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hardhian Panu. La Mafia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aksobhya Rathod was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Prambir Chaddha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Aksobhya Rathod fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Prambir Chaddha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strood AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prambir Chaddha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hardhian Panu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, La Mafia's goal looked a bit too open when Aksobhya Rathod came free, but Hardhian Panu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Aksobhya Rathod recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hardhian Panu. Aksobhya Rathod showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. La Mafia's Hardhian Panu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save La Mafia from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Strood AFC booed when La Mafia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hitaisi Prewal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prambir Chaddha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strood AFC's goalkeeper Candraprakasa Kulkarni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amlana Bawa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Candraprakasa Kulkarni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Strood AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
