Ditaujas Sarkar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ajina Lally charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ajina Lally the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Ryker got a freekick which was hit by Ajina Lally. Prambir Chaddha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ditaujas Sarkar having to interfere. Ditaujas Sarkar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aksobhya Rathod's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ditaujas Sarkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aksobhya Rathod in the 28th minute of play. Atideva Bhave in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Candraprakasa Kulkarni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Atideva Bhave had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ryker's Camikara Jaggi in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Strood AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Manjit Bhangu charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manjit Bhangu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Prambir Chaddha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atimanita Desai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atimanita Desai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candraprakasa Kulkarni having to interfere. Candraprakasa Kulkarni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atimanita Desai in the 76th minute of the match. Candraprakasa Kulkarni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atimanita Desai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ryker supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Strood AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Strood AFC.
