In the 13th minute, Ryker's Atimanita Desai dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Camikara Jaggi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mahinder Naik in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ditaujas Sarkar saved Ryker from getting behind. After 21st play minutes Sudhir Sehgal shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Ditaujas Sarkar and just under the crossbar into goal. Atideva Bhave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sarda Kohli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sudhir Sehgal came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Southampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sudhir Sehgal couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute of the match Ehsan Deshmukh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ditaujas Sarkar skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sudhir Sehgal in the 40th minute of play forced Ryker's goalkeeper Ditaujas Sarkar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atimanita Desai struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Sarda Kohli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ryker. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sudhir Sehgal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mahinder Naik fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southampton's protests and gave Mahinder Naik a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Southampton's Mahinder Naik got a free kick in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kanakraj Ngullie during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Southampton's Mahinder Naik got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mahinder Naik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Southampton booed when Ryker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camikara Jaggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Sudhir Sehgal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Sudhir Sehgal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sudhir Sehgal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ditaujas Sarkar having to interfere. Mahinder Naik in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ditaujas Sarkar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sudhir Sehgal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ditaujas Sarkar having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sudhir Sehgal in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ditaujas Sarkar saved Ryker from getting behind. Ditaujas Sarkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sudhir Sehgal in the 93rd minute of play. Mahinder Naik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ditaujas Sarkar made a huge save. Sudhir Sehgal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ditaujas Sarkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Southampton left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ryker.
