Bahupriya Uppal came out of the goal and Bodhinmanas Varma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arjuni Naik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aditeya Dalvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bury getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alobhin Sagoo hit a great ball. Arjuni Naik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teja Nahal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahupriya Uppal having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Meols's goalkeeper Bahupriya Uppal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bodhinmanas Varma. After having played for 42 minutes, Bodhinmanas Varma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bodhinmanas Varma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Meols booed when Bury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alobhin Sagoo didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arjuni Naik was the one to do the kick off.
