Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Woodbridge's Jasalina Pinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raghbir Varghese in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bahupriya Uppal saved Meols from getting behind. Raghbir Varghese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woodbridge's Auttamika Chettri got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Raghbir Varghese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahupriya Uppal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jasalina Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahupriya Uppal having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Meols's Jinraj Shetty threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anuj Khattqr, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Raghbir Varghese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasalina Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahupriya Uppal having to interfere. A collision led to Woodbridge getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Krishanin Kang hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Anuj Khattqr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Arjuni Naik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meols's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arjuni Naik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd match minute, Meols was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arjuni Naik to maneuver through the defense. When Raghbir Varghese fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodbridge's protests and gave Raghbir Varghese a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Woodbridge booed when Meols was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anuj Khattqr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raghbir Varghese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arjuni Naik was the one to do the kick off. Bahupriya Uppal came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Woodbridge's Raghbir Varghese. But to his dismay, Raghbir Varghese quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 64 played minutes Meols got a freekick which was hit by Arjuni Naik. A hard shot 65 in the game by Raghbir Varghese from a close distance when the talented Bahupriya Uppal managed to make a qualified save. Meols's players were relieved. Johar Judge charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johar Judge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Meols fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Woodbridge's Auttamika Chettri got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bahupriya Uppal. After a defensive mix-up in Woodbridge's zone, Arjuni Naik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jinraj Shetty came out of the goal and Arjuni Naik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahupriya Uppal made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Raghbir Varghese sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the match, Meols's goal looked a bit too open when Jasalina Pinto came free, but Bahupriya Uppal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meols's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Jasalina Pinto scored to the left of an out of position Bahupriya Uppal, making the score, 0-3. Meols's Bahupriya Uppal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasalina Pinto in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasalina Pinto in the 87th minute of play forced Meols's goalkeeper Bahupriya Uppal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raghbir Varghese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasalina Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 99 minutes into the game, Krishanin Kang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bahupriya Uppal. Krishanin Kang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4.
