The audience thought a goal was coming when Sheth Reel got free with Amritaksara Sodhi in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cirayu Shindi charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cirayu Shindi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amritaksara Sodhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acarya Sethi in the 53rd minute of the match. Acarya Sethi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. In the 65th minute, Devarpana Beesla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kalpesa Sawhney. The goal made the score 2-2. Devarpana Beesla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Kuljeet Beesla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kuljeet Beesla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SIKKIM AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Agniketu Khanna hit a great ball. Citrabhuta Thapa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kuljeet Beesla took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amritaksara Sodhi. Amritaksara Sodhi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. When Sheth Reel fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunton Bassett's protests and gave Sheth Reel a yellow card for diving instead. Devarpana Beesla might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalpesa Sawhney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devarpana Beesla ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dunton Bassett fans cheered their team off the field, for while SIKKIM AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
