Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Woodbridge's Jasalina Pinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuljeet Beesla in the 5th minute of play forced Woodbridge's goalkeeper Jinraj Shetty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raghbir Varghese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalpesa Sawhney having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Woodbridge's zone, Acarya Sethi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jinraj Shetty came out of the goal and Acarya Sethi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Kuljeet Beesla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jinraj Shetty was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kuljeet Beesla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jinraj Shetty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acarya Sethi got in the 32nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jinraj Shetty handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Jinraj Shetty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuljeet Beesla's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Dunton Bassett's Kuljeet Beesla got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuljeet Beesla in the 38th minute of play forced Woodbridge's goalkeeper Jinraj Shetty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Acarya Sethi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunton Bassett's supporters rose to their feet, but Acarya Sethi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jinraj Shetty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Woodbridge's Annadeva Tendulkar got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Dunton Bassett were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acarya Sethi was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Woodbridge's goal looked a bit too open when Acarya Sethi came free, but Jinraj Shetty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hridayesa Sekhon charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hridayesa Sekhon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Hridayesa Sekhon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Woodbridge's Jinraj Shetty got control of the ball when Kuljeet Beesla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jinraj Shetty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atimaya Sohota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kalpesa Sawhney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasalina Pinto in the 66th minute of play. Kuljeet Beesla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Jinraj Shetty made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Woodbridge's Raghbir Varghese sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kalpesa Sawhney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jasalina Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Woodbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Annadeva Tendulkar to maneuver through the defense. Woodbridge's Jinraj Shetty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acarya Sethi in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Woodbridge's Annadeva Tendulkar got a free kick in the 87th minute. Acarya Sethi struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jinraj Shetty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunton Bassett. Raghbir Varghese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalpesa Sawhney having to interfere. If Acarya Sethi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
