Jhilmit Nijjar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alipriya Malhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bombay Brats's zone, Jhilmit Nijjar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alipriya Malhan came out of the goal and Jhilmit Nijjar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hiren Rahul in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alipriya Malhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Akhilatman Bains hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Akhilatman Bains fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bombay Brats's protests and gave Akhilatman Bains a yellow card for diving instead. Akhilatman Bains hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Prabhgun Sandhar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alipriya Malhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avanisvara Arora took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javin Saha. Javin Saha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kalasinha Girgla scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alipriya Malhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alipriya Malhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prabhgun Sandhar in the 20th minute of the match. Alipriya Malhan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 28th minute, Avanisvara Arora made a precise shot to the right of Javin Saha. Thunderbolt FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 31 minutes into the match, Hiren Rahul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alipriya Malhan. Bombay Brats's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hiren Rahul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sachdev Chatterjee during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hiren Rahul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alipriya Malhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balavirya Krishnamurthy in the 38th minute of play. Bombay Brats's Alipriya Malhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Bombay Brats from getting a goal against them. Bombay Brats's Alipriya Malhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhilmit Nijjar in the 44th minute of play. Jaganu Gasnette struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Alipriya Malhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thunderbolt FC. Javin Saha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avanisvara Arora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hiren Rahul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kalasinha Girgla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alipriya Malhan having to interfere. With 54 minutes on the clock, Devasura Rai commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 54 minutes into the game, one of Thunderbolt FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Bombay Brats's Cunda Cheema got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Javin Saha. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jhilmit Nijjar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thunderbolt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jhilmit Nijjar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alipriya Malhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Balavirya Krishnamurthy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hiren Rahul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alipriya Malhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hiren Rahul in the 73rd minute of play. Javin Saha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asanga Gaekwad in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhilmit Nijjar in the 81st minute of play forced Bombay Brats's goalkeeper Alipriya Malhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Avanisvara Arora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Javin Saha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alipriya Malhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prabhgun Sandhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Atidatta Irani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bombay Brats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thunderbolt FC the free kick. After 89 played minutes Bombay Brats got a freekick which was hit by Atidatta Irani. Jhilmit Nijjar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alipriya Malhan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Prabhgun Sandhar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thunderbolt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prabhgun Sandhar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alipriya Malhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Thunderbolt FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bombay Brats to win.
