Kartikeya Vadhwa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ikroop Lal made a huge save. After 22 minutes, Dhrstaka Chawla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stevenage AFC and the Luv de Lasan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Krishnan Hira scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baladitya Sanghera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luv de Lasan's Ikroop Lal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apiguna Bhardwaj in the 68th minute of play. Ikroop Lal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luv de Lasan's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
