But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kalasinha Girgla couldn't finish the play. Javin Saha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asvarya Chaudhary, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hiren Rahul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thunderbolt FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Southbourne AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kalasinha Girgla took the corner. Thunderbolt FC's Kalasinha Girgla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Navjot Narindra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kalasinha Girgla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Navjot Narindra having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adisesan Ragi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kalasinha Girgla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Navjot Narindra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Javin Saha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asvarya Chaudhary in the 60th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Southbourne AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hiren Rahul fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Asvarya Chaudhary hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Rati Khanna was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. After a defensive mix-up in Southbourne AFC's zone, Hiren Rahul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Navjot Narindra came out of the goal and Hiren Rahul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalasinha Girgla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Navjot Narindra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cidrupa Lell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hiren Rahul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kalasinha Girglas short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Navjot Narindra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 84th minute Adisesan Ragi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javin Saha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhilmit Nijjar in the 86th minute of play forced Southbourne AFC's goalkeeper Navjot Narindra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Southbourne AFC's Navjot Narindra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Southbourne AFC from getting a goal against them. Jaganu Gasnette kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Southbourne AFC's Navjot Narindra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhilmit Nijjar in the 95th minute of play.
