Southbourne AFC's Navjot Narindra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Southbourne AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rajendran Agroia in the 23rd minute of play forced Southbourne AFC's goalkeeper Navjot Narindra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Adisesan Ragi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Kavisvara Hegde. 32 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Cidrupa Lell came free, but Shyamal Mittal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Candrata Parekh hit a great ball. Southbourne AFC's Adisesan Ragi got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shyamal Mittal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adisesan Ragi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adisesan Ragi was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kailash Ganguly in the 51st minute of play forced Southbourne AFC's goalkeeper Navjot Narindra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Adisesan Ragi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Shyamal Mittal, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adisesan Ragi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shyamal Mittal saved Manchester United from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Adisesan Ragi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southbourne AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adisesan Ragi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shyamal Mittal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Adisesan Ragi 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Navjot Narindra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rajendran Agroia, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adisesan Ragi in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shyamal Mittal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cidrupa Lell struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Shyamal Mittal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southbourne AFC. Cidrupa Lell scored 0-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shyamal Mittal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd match minute, Southbourne AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asvarya Chaudhary to maneuver through the defense. After 83 played minutes, Manchester United's Ghanambu Mahmi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Navjot Narindra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester United reached it. Shyamal Mittal made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Cidrupa Lell sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Adisesan Ragi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cidrupa Lell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shyamal Mittal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Southbourne AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adisesan Ragi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Southbourne AFC played a much better game than Manchester United and deserved their victory. The Manchester United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
