Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Hiren Rahul started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 minutes Cottingham's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kalasinha Girgla who took care of the corner kick. In the 11th minute, Amitabh Sarkaria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cottingham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Hiren Rahul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Jaganu Gasnette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Hiren Rahul made a precise shot to the right of Cittavata Toor. Cottingham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Hiren Rahul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cittavata Toor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javin Saha came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Cottingham's Amitabh Sarkaria. But to his dismay, Amitabh Sarkaria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Hiren Rahul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avirhotra Chandha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Cittavata Toor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Hiren Rahul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thunderbolt FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jhilmit Nijjar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cittavata Toor having to interfere. Avirhotra Chandha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cittavata Toor having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jhilmit Nijjar in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cittavata Toor saved Cottingham from getting behind. Avirhotra Chandha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cidananda Takkar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Avirhotra Chandha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cittavata Toor having to interfere. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Kalasinha Girgla sped through Cottingham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cittavata Toor. After 60 minutes, Jhilmit Nijjar made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Cottingham's Cittavata Toor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jhilmit Nijjar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Thunderbolt FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Thunderbolt FC's Avirhotra Chandha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thunderbolt FC's Javin Saha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amitabh Sarkaria in the 68th minute of play. Cittavata Toor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Avirhotra Chandha in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Hiren Rahul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cittavata Toor was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Avirhotra Chandha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Cittavata Toor made a huge save. When Kalasinha Girgla, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 76 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cittavata Toor was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Rajendra Mirchandani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Avirhotra Chandha struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Cittavata Toor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thunderbolt FC. Cittavata Toor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hiren Rahul in the 86th minute of the match. Kalasinha Girgla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cittavata Toor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jhilmit Nijjar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Thunderbolt FC's Kalasinha Girgla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. With a little luck, Cottingham's Cittavata Toor got control of the ball when Kalasinha Girgla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thunderbolt FC played a much better game than Cottingham and deserved their victory. The Cottingham players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
