Gurcharanjeet Pinto's late challenge caught a Rice n Curry FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gurcharanjeet Pinto helped the player get up and apologised. Arcat Bhambra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cittavata Toor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arvinderjeet Rajput made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Amitabh Sarkaria sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arcat Bhambra in the 25th minute of play forced Cottingham's goalkeeper Cittavata Toor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arvinderjeet Rajput showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cidananda Takkar in the 33rd minute of the match. Cidananda Takkar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Dhrsita Rathod managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rice n Curry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dhrsita Rathod was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Amitabh Sarkaria came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cottingham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amitabh Sarkaria couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dhrsita Rathod was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Rice n Curry FC's Atirathra Bagha got a free kick in the 56th minute. Anuraga Deshpande charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anuraga Deshpande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Anuraga Deshpande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cidananda Takkar in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arvinderjeet Rajput saved Rice n Curry FC from getting behind. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arcat Bhambra couldn't finish the play. In the 80thth minute of the game Dhrsita Rathod who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cottingham's Cittavata Toor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arcat Bhambra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dhrsita Rathod came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Rice n Curry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dhrsita Rathod couldn't finish the play.
