Stanford le Hope UnitedFC's Rajbir Dalvi got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edha Prewal made a kick off. Dhandapani Sagoo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ratanbir Paranjpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. When Danavira Dias was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. The supporters of Stanford le Hope UnitedFC booed when Obsidian Sparta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danavira Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Obsidian Sparta's Manoj Japra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asruta Sen in the 86th minute of play. Amana Sandhu's late challenge caught a Obsidian Sparta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amana Sandhu helped the player get up and apologised. Manoj Japra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamayani Bhatt in the 93rd minute of the match.
