Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jaidev Moktan got the match started through his kick off. Bhagavana Chaturvedi charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bhagavana Chaturvedi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, Geddington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bhagavana Chaturvedi to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Obsidian Sparta's goal looked a bit too open when Anshul Bal came free, but Manoj Japra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Geddington FC's Kurcika Tipnis got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Deepti Singh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Geddington FC's goalkeeper Haranath Balil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dhandapani Sagoo. After 12 minutes of play, Geddington FC's Anshul Bal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manoj Japra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dhandapani Sagoo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dhandapani Sagoo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haranath Balil having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Obsidian Sparta's goal looked a bit too open when Anshul Bal came free, but Manoj Japra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manoj Japra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurcika Tipnis in the 25th minute of the match. Obsidian Sparta's Manoj Japra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anshul Bal in the 37th minute of play. Manoj Japra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anshul Bal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Jaidev Moktan made a precise shot to the right of Manoj Japra. Obsidian Sparta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After the first half Geddington FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edha Prewal to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Obsidian Sparta's Manoj Japra got control of the ball when Anshul Bal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Geddington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurcika Tipnis to maneuver through the defense. Manoj Japra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaidev Moktan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Edha Prewal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haranath Balil was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Deepti Singh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Geddington FC's zone, Campu Dhaliwal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haranath Balil came out of the goal and Campu Dhaliwal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haranath Balil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dhandapani Sagoo in the 82nd minute of play. Jaidev Moktan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoj Japra having to interfere. Manoj Japra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaidev Moktan in the 90th minute of the match. With 92 minutes on the clock, Karmasura Rudrappa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Obsidian Sparta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Geddington FC:s goal. Manoj Japra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaidev Moktan in the 99th minute of play. The Geddington FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
