The audience thought a goal was coming when Kavibhusana Chawla got free with Cidambara Tangadavi in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adri Kang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bisvajita Kamle in the 12th minute of the match. Kshitij Marathe kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Shankar Gandhi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cidambara Tangadavi skillfully saved the ball. The Newlyn East AFC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Newlyn East AFC's Bisvajita Kamle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Buddhadatta Vaidya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cidambara Tangadavi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gurpreet Sengupta, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Adri Kang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bisvajita Kamle's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Adipa Upadhyay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Adri Kang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 49th minute of the match Newlyn East AFC got a corner. Cottered United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bhairavasin Nahal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Adri Kang was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bisvajita Kamle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Newlyn East AFC's Adipa Upadhyay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adri Kang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bisvajita Kamle in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adri Kang saved Cottered United from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Newlyn East AFC's Bisvajita Kamle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adri Kang. Adri Kang yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Adipa Upadhyay might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adri Kang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adipa Upadhyay ran back to his position shaking his head. Mohanakrishnan Tind's late challenge caught a Cottered United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohanakrishnan Tind helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Newlyn East AFC's Mohanakrishnan Tind got a free kick in the 78th minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Bisvajita Kamle took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Adri Kang to make any attempt to save it. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cottered United's goalkeeper Adri Kang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Newlyn East AFC played a much better game than Cottered United and deserved their victory. The Cottered United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
