The supporters of High Wycombe City booed when Cottered United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harinder Barmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cottered United's zone, Rajindar Nahal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adri Kang came out of the goal and Rajindar Nahal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 51 minutes, Rajindar Nahal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. High Wycombe City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rajindar Nahal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Rajindar Nahal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adri Kang was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, High Wycombe City's Ashrita Rai seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ashrita Rai the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of High Wycombe City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ashrita Rai had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 92 minutes into the game, one of High Wycombe City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Abhyudaya Naik, was totally fooled by Cottered United's Shankar Gandhi, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cottered United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over High Wycombe City's much stronger midfield.
