He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chalfont reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dasmata Virk got free with Adhipa Heer in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kirpal Jain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nayan Ghai in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chalfont's zone, Gogana Sikand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhipa Heer came out of the goal and Gogana Sikand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's Gogana Sikand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adhipa Heer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dasmata Virk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogana Sikand in the 47th minute of play forced Chalfont's goalkeeper Adhipa Heer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Adhipa Heer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogana Sikand in the 57th minute of the match. Adhipa Heer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dasmata Virk, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Chalfont were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karamjot Sudan took the corner. A collision led to Birmingham Selly Oak AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Dasmata Virk hit a great ball. Kirtideva Dias took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kirpal Jain. Kirpal Jain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Chalfont getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jagjit Lalli hit a great ball. If Nayan Ghai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nayan Ghai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirpal Jain having to interfere. Chalfont's Adhipa Heer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogana Sikand in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's goalkeeper Kirpal Jain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Dasmata Virk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhipa Heer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Dasmata Virk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhipa Heer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After having played for 92 minutes, Dasmata Virk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dasmata Virk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's Sanjiv Lell got a free kick in the 94th minute. Chalfont's Nayan Ghai got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
