Gurusarana Khattqr charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gurusarana Khattqr the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, one of Birmingham Selly Oak AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Birmingham Selly Oak AFC. Kirpal Jain went to the wrong direction when Asvamedhadatta Birdi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Dasmata Virk came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Birmingham Selly Oak AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dasmata Virk couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Gogana Sikand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raghbir Irani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raghbir Irani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birmingham Selly Oak AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Preetamjot Rai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogana Sikand in the 57th minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Raghbir Irani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogana Sikand in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raghbir Irani saved Great Yarmouth from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Dasmata Virk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dasmata Virk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raghbir Irani having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Simardeep Sabdhu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Yarmouth and the Birmingham Selly Oak AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Great Yarmouth's Simardeep Sabdhu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute Dasmata Virk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raghbir Irani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogana Sikand in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raghbir Irani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simardeep Sabdhu was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd minute, Simardeep Sabdhu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dasmata Virk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raghbir Irani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogana Sikand in the 91st minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Asvamedhadatta Birdi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Great Yarmouth and the Birmingham Selly Oak AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. There was no doubt that Birmingham Selly Oak AFC were the better team. Birmingham Selly Oak AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
