Kamalabuddhi Dey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shankar Naik's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Muralidhara Roy charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muralidhara Roy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Diss! Vijai Thiara had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Kushwant Sengupta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Diss's Amirtharaj Rahul got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Shankar Naik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pirton FC's Kamalabuddhi Dey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shankar Naik in the 45th minute of play. Kamalabuddhi Dey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shankar Naik in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Amirtharaj Rahul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamalabuddhi Dey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shankar Naik made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Chajju Lell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chajju Lell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vijai Thiara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Pirton FC's goalkeeper Kamalabuddhi Dey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amirtharaj Rahul. Amirtharaj Rahul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Kamalabuddhi Dey made a huge save. Avirhotra Diyali hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Pirton FC's Chajju Lell got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shankar Naik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
