In the 29th minute of the match Gurkiran Sohal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iladhara Dango skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Hitesin Modi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Snakes & Foxes's supporters rose to their feet, but Hitesin Modi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waraich Basrai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harsavardhana Chavan was the one to do the kick off. Waraich Basrai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Govind Sahu in the 57th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Snakes & Foxes got a freekick which was hit by Harmeet Prewal. Iladhara Dango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Itar Marak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
