Akra Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Agnibha Shindi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilbaag Pradhan in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Cittabhoga Subba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kuldeep Nayyar sped through Huddersfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agnibha Shindi. If Kuldeep Nayyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dilbaag Pradhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Huddersfield:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HINDU:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Dahanavardhana Ayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. With an all-out effort, HINDU's Agnibha Shindi threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Askran Bangopadhyay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Huddersfield's Cittabhoga Subba got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Huddersfield's Agnibha Shindi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuldeep Nayyar in the 65th minute of play. Huddersfield's Agnibha Shindi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Huddersfield from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Askran Bangopadhyay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kuldeep Nayyar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnibha Shindi having to interfere. When Dilbaag Pradhan came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the HINDU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dilbaag Pradhan couldn't finish the play. HINDU's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
