Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Ponteland City's Fakir Pujari started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fakir Pujari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnibha Shindi having to interfere. In the 10th minute Ponteland City were awarded a corner. Jaguri Tind went to the cornerflag to take it. Agnibha Shindi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fakir Pujari in the 14th minute of play. If Dahanavardhana Ayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dahanavardhana Ayer in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ansuka Brar saved Ponteland City from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Ponteland City's zone, Jaskirat Lanong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ansuka Brar came out of the goal and Jaskirat Lanong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ansuka Brar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaskirat Lanong in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Huddersfield's goalkeeper Agnibha Shindi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashwini Tendulkar. Agnibha Shindi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilaspada Joshi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Dahanavardhana Ayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ansuka Brar having to interfere. Ponteland City's Fakir Pujari got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fakir Pujari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dahanavardhana Ayer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Huddersfield's goal looked a bit too open when Fakir Pujari came free, but Agnibha Shindi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agnibha Shindi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fakir Pujari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Ponteland City's goalkeeper Ansuka Brar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaskirat Lanong. In the 64th minute Hanumant Vishwakarma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnibha Shindi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ashwini Tendulkar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fakir Pujari struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Agnibha Shindi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponteland City. Ashwini Tendulkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Agnibha Shindi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Fakir Pujari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agnibha Shindi. Huddersfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fakir Pujari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ashwini Tendulkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Agnibha Shindi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Huddersfield's goal looked a bit too open when Fakir Pujari came free, but Agnibha Shindi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Jaskirat Lanong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ponteland City getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Hanumant Vishwakarma hit a great ball. The supporters of Huddersfield booed when Ponteland City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilaspada Joshi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
