Sandown's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Budhana Lapang scored to the left of an out of position Ashok Warwaha, making the score, 1-1. If Sriram Basu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th match minute, Power FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kisni Jhuti to maneuver through the defense. Budhana Lapang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Budhana Lapang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jinda Shah charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jinda Shah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Power FC got a freekick which was hit by Jinda Shah. Baladhika Lachenpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirtita Sen having to interfere. If Jasalina Sohal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Sandown's Jasalina Sohal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kirtita Sen. Kirtita Sen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Raminder Mishra kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Power FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baladhika Lachenpa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kirtita Sen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasalina Sohal, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ashok Warwaha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raminder Mishra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Budhana Lapang in the 96th minute of play forced Sandown's goalkeeper Ashok Warwaha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandown's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
