Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Atasa Pant fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Retford City's protests and gave Atasa Pant a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Atasa Pant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sandown's zone, Abhyagni Siddhu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashok Warwaha came out of the goal and Abhyagni Siddhu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jata Gandhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasalina Sohal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jasalina Sohal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abhyagni Siddhu to make the kick off. Ashok Warwaha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhiksita Biswas in the 53rd minute. Dasasarman Swamy charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dasasarman Swamy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sandown's Ashok Warwaha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Sandown from getting a goal against them. Abhyagni Siddhu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ashok Warwaha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Sandown's goalkeeper Ashok Warwaha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adhiksita Biswas. Ahvana Pahwa kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
