Isan Prewal charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isan Prewal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Mohan Lanong made a precise shot to the right of Fatehpal Agarwal. Kerala FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mohan Lanong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Fatehpal Agarwal made a huge save. Ranjot Parab could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fatehpal Agarwal made a huge save. Mohan Lanong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Fatehpal Agarwal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sultan Pujari kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Fatehpal Agarwal acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dharmamitra Sohota. In the 15th minute, Anantdev Sull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohan Lanong took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fatehpal Agarwal. Fatehpal Agarwal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Devarpana Chaturvedi's late challenge caught a Kerala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Devarpana Chaturvedi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, IMMORTALS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devarpana Chaturvedi to maneuver through the defense. Kalita Doabia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balwant Chawla in the 29th minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Mohan Lanong from a close distance when the talented Fatehpal Agarwal managed to make a qualified save. Kerala FC's players were relieved. Mohan Lanong had several of the Kerala FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Fatehpal Agarwal as he didn't even see the shot coming. IMMORTALS's Banalinga Sahu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Mohan Lanong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fatehpal Agarwal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mohan Lanong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

IMMORTALS's Devarpana Chaturvedi got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kameswara Wahlia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devarpana Chaturvedi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Fatehpal Agarwal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IMMORTALS. Aparaditya Tamang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fatehpal Agarwal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ranjot Parab came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the IMMORTALS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ranjot Parab couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohan Lanong in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fatehpal Agarwal saved Kerala FC from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Mohan Lanong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IMMORTALS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 76 minutes into the game, IMMORTALS's Mohan Lanong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fatehpal Agarwal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 79th minute Mohan Lanong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fatehpal Agarwal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Mohan Lanong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Fatehpal Agarwal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Mohan Lanong put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fatehpal Agarwal. Mohan Lanong might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fatehpal Agarwal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohan Lanong ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mohan Lanong managed to get in a good position for a shot. IMMORTALS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohan Lanong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fatehpal Agarwal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. IMMORTALS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
