Avabhasita Chauhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jitvan Sabnis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charandeep Chawla's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Nitya Ram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jitvan Sabnis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance. Astley's Jitvan Sabnis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nitya Ram in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charandeep Chawla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Astley got a freekick which was hit by Jajhara Singh. 57 minutes into the match, Astley's goalkeeper Jitvan Sabnis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nitya Ram. Avabhasita Chauhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Akrodhana Sen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akrodhana Sen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avabhasita Chauhan in the 71st minute of the match. Astley's Jitvan Sabnis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Astley from getting a goal against them. Jitvan Sabnis made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Nitya Ram sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Avabhasita Chauhan in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akrodhana Sen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Astley booed when Purfleet City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cidananda Kapani didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Jasjit Kale put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Akrodhana Sen. The audience was convinced that Avabhasita Chauhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akrodhana Sen was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Avabhasita Chauhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akrodhana Sen having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Astley players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
