Great Addington
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Santu Dhariwal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Asvavan Vurghese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 5th match minute, Great Addington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aparaditya Mathur to maneuver through the defense. When Aparaditya Mathur came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Great Addington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aparaditya Mathur couldn't finish the play. Asvavan Vurghese hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Elsdon's goal looked a bit too open when Santu Dhariwal came free, but Devavid Denhoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cetana Sandhu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Cetana Sandhu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Devavid Denhoy made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Aparaditya Mathur sent off a good shot on target. Birindar Swamy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Asvavan Vurghese went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Elsdon's Devavid Denhoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aparaditya Mathur in the 19th minute of play. Santu Dhariwal took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Devavid Denhoy. Devavid Denhoy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 24th minute of the match, Santu Dhariwal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Devavid Denhoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 26 minutes into the match, Elsdon's goal looked a bit too open when Santu Dhariwal came free, but Devavid Denhoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birindar Swamy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asvavan Vurghese in the 28th minute of the match. Cetana Sandhu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Asvavan Vurghese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agreni Thakkar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match Cetana Sandhu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birindar Swamy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Cetana Sandhu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Great Addington's Birindar Swamy. Birindar Swamy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santu Dhariwal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 43 minutes into the game, Kisni Dasgupta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elsdon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Great Addington the free kick. After a rather tough play, Elsdon's Kisni Dasgupta got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute Asvavan Vurghese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birindar Swamy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asvavan Vurghese to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes Elsdon got a freekick which was hit by Avajita Samran. Devavid Denhoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aparaditya Mathur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sanjog Randhawa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sanjog Randhawa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Elsdon's Sanjog Randhawa got a free kick in the 66th minute. Santu Dhariwal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Devavid Denhoy. Elsdon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Devavid Denhoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santu Dhariwal, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Devavid Denhoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aparaditya Mathur in the 75th minute of play. Santu Dhariwal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devavid Denhoy having to interfere. In the 79th minute Cetana Sandhu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birindar Swamy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Great Addington's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cetana Sandhu was slow to take the kick. During this time Elsdon's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Avajita Samran heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Aparaditya Mathur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Addington's supporters rose to their feet, but Aparaditya Mathur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Devavid Denhoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Devavid Denhoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santu Dhariwal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Elsdon's Devavid Denhoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aparaditya Mathur in the 90th minute of play. Devavid Denhoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santu Dhariwal in the 92nd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
