Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Standish's Namgeet Deshpande started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Namgeet Deshpande in the 9th minute of play forced Maldon's goalkeeper Durvartu Rattu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Standish's zone, Harinder Nahal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahara Gain came out of the goal and Harinder Nahal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maldon's Durvartu Rattu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Namgeet Deshpande in the 13th minute of play. Paras Marathe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Durvartu Rattu. Maldon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ksaman Chohan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahara Gain having to make a save. Ksaman Chohan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Ahara Gain when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ahara Gain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harinder Nahal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Standish's goal looked a bit too open when Harinder Nahal came free, but Ahara Gain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ksaman Chohan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ahara Gain made a huge save. Ksaman Chohan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Standish's goal looked a bit too open when Harinder Nahal came free, but Ahara Gain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahara Gain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harinder Nahal in the 39th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harinder Nahal to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahara Gain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ksaman Chohan in the 51st minute of the match. If Ksaman Chohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Harinder Nahal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ahara Gain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ksaman Chohan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahara Gain having to interfere. The supporters of Standish booed when Maldon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arunopala Lally didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maldon's zone, Ankolita Thapa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durvartu Rattu came out of the goal and Ankolita Thapa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ksaman Chohan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ahara Gain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Maldon getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Romesh Garcha hit a great ball. Satsukh Gopalkrishnan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Durvartu Rattu. Maldon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Harinder Nahal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ksaman Chohan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahara Gain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harinder Nahal, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Namgeet Deshpande was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Standish's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ksaman Chohan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Harinder Nahal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahara Gain was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Maldon had played much better football throughout.
