With an all-out effort, Welford's Avipriya Gasnette threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anutosa Paranjpe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amarjit Gupta's late challenge caught a Welford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amarjit Gupta helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes MooreFC got a freekick which was hit by Amarjit Gupta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bhavishnu Tipnis in the 11th minute of play forced Welford's goalkeeper Harasvarupa Baweja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Welford's goal looked a bit too open when Adesa Dev came free, but Harasvarupa Baweja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Agnisika Chaddha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. But to his dismay, Bhavishnu Tipnis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Avipriya Gasnette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aryabhata Khandelwal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, MooreFC's Avipriya Gasnette got control of the ball when Agnisika Chaddha tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Aryabhata Khandelwal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Avipriya Gasnette, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aryabhata Khandelwal got free with Avipriya Gasnette in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Agnisika Chaddha made a precise shot to the right of Avipriya Gasnette. MooreFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. 42 minutes into the match, MooreFC's Bhavishnu Tipnis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harasvarupa Baweja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 67 played minutes MooreFC got a freekick which was hit by Amarjit Gupta. After some careless play in the MooreFC defense, Kavisvara Ahuja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Avipriya Gasnette. The MooreFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Avipriya Gasnette should have stopped the shot. MooreFC's Avipriya Gasnette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harsajjan Sran in the 90th minute of play. Avipriya Gasnette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anutosa Paranjpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Welford walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
