Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Aryaman Khanna made the kick off which started today's match. Honna Gopalkrishnan came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Southend's Bhrajathu Kelkar. But to his dismay, Bhrajathu Kelkar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gagan Matharu got free with Ardra Reel in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Formby booed when Southend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aravini Gore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gagan Matharu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ardra Reel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gagan Matharu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 27 minutes, Bhrajathu Kelkar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southend's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bhrajathu Kelkar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hita Jha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Honna Gopalkrishnan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Akal Reddy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes Southend got a freekick which was hit by Bhrajathu Kelkar. 42 minutes into the match, Bhrajathu Kelkar notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Formby's Honna Gopalkrishnan. Honna Gopalkrishnan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnibija Chawla during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Formby got a freekick which was hit by Agnibija Chawla. Ardra Reel was a little too slow when Gagan Matharu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 1-2. After the first half Southend were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaisisa Bhatti made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Southend's goal looked a bit too open when Akal Reddy came free, but Ardra Reel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ardra Reel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gagan Matharu in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aryaman Khanna in the 65th minute of play forced Formby's goalkeeper Honna Gopalkrishnan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hita Jha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honna Gopalkrishnan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aryaman Khanna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Formby getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Motilal Laungani hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aryaman Khanna in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honna Gopalkrishnan saved Formby from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Southend's goal looked a bit too open when Gagan Matharu came free, but Ardra Reel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Formby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gagan Matharu to maneuver through the defense. Ardra Reel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaisisa Bhatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Formby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dayasagara Varma to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th match minute, Formby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Motilal Laungani to maneuver through the defense. Honna Gopalkrishnan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aryaman Khanna's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute, Bhrajathu Kelkar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southend fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
