In the 4th minute, Troy Lionheart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anutosa Paranjpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamasakha Som having to interfere. Kamasakha Som showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aryabhata Khandelwal, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Harasvarupa Baweja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akrosa Arneja in the 8th minute of the match. Harasvarupa Baweja made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Akrosa Arneja sent off a good shot on target. Kavisvara Ahuja hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With his leg Harasvarupa Baweja managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Crystal City's Akrosa Arneja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 16th minute, Anutosa Paranjpe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kamasakha Som was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With his leg Harasvarupa Baweja managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Crystal City's Akrosa Arneja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akrosa Arneja in the 28th minute of play forced Welford's goalkeeper Harasvarupa Baweja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harasvarupa Baweja was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Akrosa Arneja capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Akrosa Arneja really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Kamasakha Som took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anutosa Paranjpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anutosa Paranjpe to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Welford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aryabhata Khandelwal to maneuver through the defense. The Crystal City fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Crystal City's 石寒天 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Welford's Harasvarupa Baweja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 石寒天 in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game 石寒天 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Welford's Harasvarupa Baweja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute Kavisvara Ahuja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamasakha Som saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 石寒天 in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harasvarupa Baweja saved Welford from getting behind. Mina Bajwa took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harasvarupa Baweja. Harasvarupa Baweja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Harasvarupa Baweja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Lionheart, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute 石寒天 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harasvarupa Baweja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Agnisika Chaddha fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Welford's protests and gave Agnisika Chaddha a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Welford got a freekick which was hit by Agnisika Chaddha. After a rather tough play, Crystal City's Troy Lionheart got a free kick in the 86th minute. Crystal City's Troy Lionheart pulled a muscle in his leg after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ras Fernandes during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Crystal City's Abhikama Mondol was substituted for Troy Lionheart. A collision led to Welford getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ras Fernandes hit a great ball. In the 93rd match minute, Crystal City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kotijit Kapoor to maneuver through the defense. Harasvarupa Baweja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kotijit Kapoor in the 96th minute of play. Crystal City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
