Whaplode's Javagal Sahota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaisisa Bhatti in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaisisa Bhatti in the 21st minute of play forced Whaplode's goalkeeper Javagal Sahota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honna Gopalkrishnan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narayanan Dass in the 23rd minute of play. Honna Gopalkrishnan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Divyaprabhava Bhaura in the 24th minute of the match. Anilabha Vishwakarma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Honna Gopalkrishnan came out and tried to block the shot, but Anilabha Vishwakarma slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Divyaprabhava Bhaura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Honna Gopalkrishnan. Formby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Divyaprabhava Bhaura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 34 minutes into the match, Formby's goal looked a bit too open when Divyaprabhava Bhaura came free, but Honna Gopalkrishnan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Whaplode booed when Formby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaisisa Bhatti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honna Gopalkrishnan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Formby's zone, Anilabha Vishwakarma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honna Gopalkrishnan came out of the goal and Anilabha Vishwakarma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Formby's Aruni Reel got a free kick in the 41st minute. Anilabha Vishwakarma who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Honna Gopalkrishnan when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The wind increased when Jaisisa Bhatti made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Formby booed when Whaplode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekayastika Boparai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Whaplode's Javagal Sahota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Whaplode from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Jaisisa Bhatti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javagal Sahota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javagal Sahota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaisisa Bhatti in the 72nd minute of play. Dayasagara Varma hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Gagan Matharu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Javagal Sahota skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Anilabha Vishwakarma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honna Gopalkrishnan having to interfere. Javagal Sahota made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gagan Matharu sent off a good shot on target. Honna Gopalkrishnan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Divyaprabhava Bhaura in the 93rd minute of play. Divyaprabhava Bhaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Whaplode had played much better football throughout.
