Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Didhitimat Gandhi took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Ara Jadeja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javagal Sahota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikrant Sandhu's late challenge caught a Whaplode's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vikrant Sandhu helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Holton-le-Clay got a freekick which was hit by Vikrant Sandhu. After 8 played minutes Holton-le-Clay got a freekick which was hit by Ara Jadeja. Candrabhasu Sangma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jivaratna Beasley made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hridayangam Patiala in the 16th minute of play forced Whaplode's goalkeeper Javagal Sahota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anilabha Vishwakarma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jivaratna Beasley having to make a save. Anilabha Vishwakarma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jivaratna Beasley made a huge save. If Divyaprabhava Bhaura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didhitimat Gandhi in the 34th minute of play forced Whaplode's goalkeeper Javagal Sahota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Harpratap Uppal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Candrabhasu Sangma from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Jivaratna Beasley's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jivaratna Beasley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Divyaprabhava Bhaura, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Harsha Dhaliwal's late challenge caught a Holton-le-Clay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javagal Sahota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hridayangam Patiala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Whaplode's goal looked a bit too open when Hridayangam Patiala came free, but Javagal Sahota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Holton-le-Clay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anilabha Vishwakarma to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Anilabha Vishwakarma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whaplode's supporters rose to their feet, but Anilabha Vishwakarma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jivaratna Beasley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Divyaprabhava Bhaura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Divyaprabhava Bhaura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jivaratna Beasley was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the last second Javagal Sahota throw himself and got hold of the ball when Didhitimat Gandhi in the 62ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Javagal Sahota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Didhitimat Gandhi's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When Holton-le-Clay's Didhitimat Gandhi in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Whaplode's goalie prevented a goal. Ekayastika Boparai kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Javagal Sahota successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 76th minute Didhitimat Gandhi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javagal Sahota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jivaratna Beasley came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Whaplode's Divyaprabhava Bhaura. But to his dismay, Divyaprabhava Bhaura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Harsha Dhaliwal lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Whaplode! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Holton-le-Clay. Harpratap Uppal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Javagal Sahota. 1-2. After 91 played minutes Holton-le-Clay got a freekick which was hit by Didhitimat Gandhi. Divyaprabhava Bhaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Divyaprabhava Bhaura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narayanan Dass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
