Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anutosa Paranjpe took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Harsada Prasad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harasvarupa Baweja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 minutes, Agnisika Chaddha made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bembridge's Ahima Salve tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ambudhara Dua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harasvarupa Baweja having to interfere. Harasvarupa Baweja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramakant Lally, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anutosa Paranjpe had several of the Bembridge's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Ahima Salve as he didn't even see the shot coming. 23 minutes into the match, Welford's goal looked a bit too open when Ramakant Lally came free, but Harasvarupa Baweja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, one of Welford:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Welford. In the 29thth minute of the game Anutosa Paranjpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bembridge's Ahima Salve was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Bembridge's Ahima Salve got control of the ball when Agnisika Chaddha tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ramakant Lally had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Aryabhata Khandelwal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Welford getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Harsajjan Sran hit a great ball. Harasvarupa Baweja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Surinderpal Sahu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bembridge booed when Welford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apnavana Gain didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Anutosa Paranjpe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Welford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bembridge the free kick. A collision led to Welford getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Anutosa Paranjpe hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ramakant Lally's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harasvarupa Baweja was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Ramakant Lally made the kick off in the second half. Harasvarupa Baweja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramakant Lally in the 52nd minute. In the 81st minute Harsada Prasad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harasvarupa Baweja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes, Aryabhata Khandelwal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Welford and the Bembridge players grew even worse after the yellow card.
