Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anutosa Paranjpe got the match started through his kick off. Welford's Hiryur Matharu pulled a muscle in his leg after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candrabhasu Sangma during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Welford's Apnavana Gain was substituted for Hiryur Matharu. After 9 played minutes Whaplode got a freekick which was hit by Candrabhasu Sangma. Javagal Sahota came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Welford's Anutosa Paranjpe. But to his dismay, Anutosa Paranjpe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 27 minutes of play Whaplode's Candrabhasu Sangma was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 27th match minute, Whaplode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candrabhasu Sangma to maneuver through the defense. Kavisvara Ahuja hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Javagal Sahota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnisika Chaddha in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Welford's Anutosa Paranjpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Javagal Sahota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Javagal Sahota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnisika Chaddha in the 36th minute of the match. Anita Reddy kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Whaplode's Harasvarupa Baweja threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Divyaprabhava Bhaura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Whaplode's Javagal Sahota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anutosa Paranjpe in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Anilabha Vishwakarma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javagal Sahota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnisika Chaddha, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Harasvarupa Baweja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Divyaprabhava Bhaura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Whaplode's Divyaprabhava Bhaura in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Welford's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Divyaprabhava Bhaura made a kick off. Javagal Sahota was a little too slow when Agnisika Chaddha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-4. After 61 played minutes Whaplode got a freekick which was hit by Anilabha Vishwakarma. Harsajjan Sran kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Welford's Agnisika Chaddha got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Whaplode fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Anita Reddy lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 74 minutes into the game, one of Whaplode:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Javagal Sahota had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Aryabhata Khandelwal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Whaplode defense, Aryabhata Khandelwal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Javagal Sahota. The Whaplode fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Javagal Sahota should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Divyaprabhava Bhaura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whaplode's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Welford the free kick. After 79 played minutes Whaplode got a freekick which was hit by Divyaprabhava Bhaura. 81 minutes into the match, Whaplode's goal looked a bit too open when Agnisika Chaddha came free, but Javagal Sahota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Anutosa Paranjpe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Javagal Sahota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anutosa Paranjpe in the 87th minute of the match. Anutosa Paranjpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Javagal Sahota made a huge save. Javagal Sahota made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Agnisika Chaddha sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Welford eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
