The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Javagal Sahota showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Harsada Prasad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javagal Sahota was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Ahima Salve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narayanan Dass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Anilabha Vishwakarma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahima Salve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harsada Prasad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javagal Sahota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Ramakant Lally left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bembridge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ramakant Lally could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Javagal Sahota made a huge save. With a little luck, Whaplode's Javagal Sahota got control of the ball when Ramakant Lally tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramakant Lally's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Javagal Sahota firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Bembridge supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bembridge would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
