The Scunthorpe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Devarha Hundal should have stopped the shot. Mahendra Shindi kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jayasnava Deshmukh scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Devarha Hundal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Scunthorpe's Balastha Das slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 袁挺响. That made the score 1-2 after 18 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the game, Kashmiri Arora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Devarha Hundal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Balastha Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 袁挺响 having to interfere. Kashmiri Arora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Devarha Hundal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Brentford got a freekick which was hit by Kashmiri Arora. After having played for 37 minutes, Balastha Das managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scunthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balastha Das was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd match minute, Brentford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mukesh Chahil to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Kamaljeet Linyu from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got 袁挺响's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jayasnava Deshmukh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ayati Siddhu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scunthorpe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ayati Siddhu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Brentford getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mukesh Chahil hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kamaljeet Linyu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scunthorpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamaljeet Linyu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 袁挺响 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ekaja Mehra charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ekaja Mehra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brentford's Ekaja Mehra got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Brentford's Jayasnava Deshmukh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Devarha Hundal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jayasnava Deshmukh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khamurti Das kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes, Brentford's Jagdip Kishore shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Devarha Hundal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brentford reached it. Balastha Das might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 袁挺响. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balastha Das ran back to his position shaking his head. Balastha Das received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. 袁挺响 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Balastha Das came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Scunthorpe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balastha Das couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Brentford were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Scunthorpe side.
