With an all-out effort, Weymouth's Devarha Hundal threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Akhilesavara Dhami, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Balastha Das blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bali Jha having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Kamaljeet Linyu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aksakumara Dosanjh scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Devarha Hundal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Balastha Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bali Jha having to interfere. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Balastha Das sped through Weymouth's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bali Jha. A collision led to Scunthorpe getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jaisnava Ngullie hit a great ball. The supporters of Scunthorpe booed when Weymouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edha Bhutia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Scunthorpe's Khamurti Das got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The referee ignored Weymouth's protests and gave Asrutavrana Vurghese a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Weymouth got a freekick which was hit by Asrutavrana Vurghese. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Balastha Das in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bali Jha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Devarha Hundal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aksakumara Dosanjh's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Akhilesavara Dhami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devarha Hundal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bali Jha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balastha Das, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Akhilesavara Dhami ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Devarha Hundal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Balastha Das kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bali Jha. That made the score 3-3 in the 86 minute of play.
