In the 4th minute, Anhu Bajwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes Nagpur FC got a freekick which was hit by Atisaya Parekh. Claudinei Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anhu Bajwa in the 11th minute of play. Claudinei Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atisaya Parekh, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Thornhill's goal looked a bit too open when Anhu Bajwa came free, but Claudinei Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Nagpur FC's Atisaya Parekh made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Atisaya Parekh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Anhu Bajwa made a precise shot to the right of Claudinei Branco. Thornhill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Carudatta Dey hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Atisaya Parekh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Claudinei Branco made a huge save. Claudinei Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anhu Bajwa in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atisaya Parekh in the 34th minute of play forced Thornhill's goalkeeper Claudinei Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Atisaya Parekh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thornhill's Claudinei Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anhu Bajwa in the 40th minute of play. Claudinei Branco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anhu Bajwa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 42 minute of play. When Vikram Dhaliwal fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thornhill's protests and gave Vikram Dhaliwal a yellow card for diving instead. Vikram Dhaliwal kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Niranjan Bhaura scored 4-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinei Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niranjan Bhaura was the one to do the kick off. Claudinei Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anhu Bajwa in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Atisaya Parekh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Claudinei Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudinei Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atisaya Parekh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Thornhill's Adimula Pujari got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of Thornhill booed when Nagpur FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sukhjinder Mandal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Raimundo Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Thornhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Bernal couldn't finish the play. Ciro Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mao Cheng Wei in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Anhu Bajwa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Varela having to interfere. Atisaya Parekh's late challenge caught a Thornhill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atisaya Parekh helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Atisaya Parekh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anhu Bajwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vikram Dhaliwal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Thornhill's Raimundo Bernal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ciro Varela. Ciro Varela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. In the 83rd minute Niranjan Bhaura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nagpur FC booed when Thornhill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carudatta Dey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Nagpur FC's Anhu Bajwa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Claudinei Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giaanpreet Barua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nagpur FC fully deserved thier win.
