Eduardo Rodriguez charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Armin Di Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anhu Bajwa in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Frisco Panthers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anhu Bajwa was slow to take the kick. During this time Nagpur FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Jaigupta Warwaha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Frisco Panthers's Armin Di Matteo did a great save. After 33 played minutes Frisco Panthers got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Proença. Armin Di Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atisaya Parekh in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Theodor Kvalsund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Frisco Panthers's Armin Di Matteo got control of the ball when Niranjan Bhaura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anhu Bajwa was the one to do the kick off. If Sukhjinder Mandal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Luisinho Proença sped through Nagpur FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciro Varela. The Armin Di Matteo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Nagpur FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Frisco Panthers's performance. The match ended with a win for Frisco Panthers.
