Banvitit Kanasubborvorn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Worawit Hansanimitkul having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Songsin Jomsak to make the kick off. In the 77th minute, Ban Khok Hua Phu's Khwanchai Ploymookda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Khwanchai Ploymookda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ban Khok Hua Phu protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Khwanchai Ploymookda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ban Khok Hua Phu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ban Doi Yau a penalty, 80 minutes into the game.
